Minneapolis Post #1 bid a fond farewell to Thomas Klotz today in St Paul.

Members & supporters of American Legion Post 1 - I am sad to report we lost a valued member of our post. Tom Klotz, US Air Force veteran and 56 year member of American Legion Post 1 passed away on December 1, 2025.

The December Membership Meeting at Post #1 has moved to December 13.

1st Vice Sammi Hollinger volunteered at Bridging, an organization that supports individuals and families moving from homelessness into housing by supplying furniture and essentials for living.

The Minneapolis American Legion Post #1 & Eagles Aerie #34 are sponsoring free meals for Veterans on Veterans Day. Membership in either organization is NOT required. C'mon down & enjoy a meal on us!

Post 1 of Minneapolis had 6 total post members attend Fall Conference 2025. Here's a quick update.

14 Members and Friends of Post 1 showed up to care for the headstones of Veterans who have gone before.
