Post 1 Officer elections are being held this Saturday May 2, 2025 at 12:00pm at Post 1, 2507 East 25th Street Minneapolis.

Post 1 had a big weekend, with members participating in activities all over the state. Post 1 members Mike G & Robert T. walked in the Ruck March to benefit the VA Food Pantry in Minneapolis, and Post 1 members Joan P. & Terry D graduated from American Legion College at Camp Ripley Mn.

Post 1 members Joan P. & Terry D. are set to graduate from Department of Minnesota's American Legion College at Camp Ripley Sunday April 26.

1st Vice Commander Chris Sam and 3rd Vice Commander Amy Gillette traveled to Clearwater American Legion Post 323 to visit with American Legion National Commander Dan Wiley.

Post 1 member Paul M recently celebrated a birthday!

Post 1 members gathered once again to pay respects to a fallen comrade.

American Legion Post 1 Receives Outstanding Post Award

Post 1 member, Cari McCollor spent a weekend in Las Vegas and swapped a Post 1 license plate for a Las Vegas Post 8 plate!

Members and friends of American Legion Post 1 enjoyed dinner, fellowship and lots of fun at our Open House held on March 18 at Post 1 in Minneapolis. Jason Storm, Department Service Officer provided an overview of Fund 85, and Department Membership Director Joe Bares popped in for a surprise visit!

For Minneapolis Post #1 Open House, we will be playing a scavenger hunt game.

Post 1 Legion and Auxiliary member Cari McCollar was awarded the Public Servant of the Year award by Roseville VFW Post 7555! Cari's work as the Homeless Outreach Coordinator for Roseville City was recognized by VFW Post 7555, where she is also a member.

The American Legion Appreciation Rally is Saturday March 14 at Bloomington MN Post 550. The Appreciation Rally is a time when Legion Family leaders show their appreciation for efforts with membership and other programs.
