Post 1 Commander
US Army 1969-72, served with 7th Special Forces Group Fort Bragg & Detachment “A” The Berlin Brigade. Legion member 34 years, Post # 1 Commander 3 years. Past Department Legislative Chair, Past Chairman Department Standing Committee on Rehabilitation, Alternate member of the Rifle Squad.
I am currently tasking the Executive Board of Post # 1 to create service projects and programs to interest and involve veterans.

US Air Force, Legion member, Auxiliary member, 40 and 8 member, 5th District Commander. My Legion mission is to mentor and train the next generation of American Legion leaders.
Bob Finnerty
Finance Officer & Historian
US Navy, Naval Special Warfare Group/Aviation. Legion member for 42 years 1975-1991; 1998-to date, a member of the Rifle Squad, attended Legion College in 2024, leader of the Flag Committee, District 5 member National Security & Foreign Relations Committee.
My Legion mission is to build community service projects such as Honoring Flag Day, collecting U.S. flags for proper disposal, Veterans visits both hospital, Veterans Home and cemeteries. Personally supporting all activities possible for members of Post 1 and upping our game when it comes to honoring Memorial Day.

1st Vice Commander
Born & raised in South Minneapolis, I attended Roosevelt High School-Class of 1990, USMC veteran 1996 to 2000. I am also the Post Service Officer, the Revitalization Committee Chair, Rifle Squad Commander, 2024 graduate of American Legion College, member of State Training Committee (Joined June 2024), member Sons of the American Legion (SAL), member of The 40 and 8, 28 plus year Federal Employee, retired as of October 2025.

US Army, Aviation. I have been a Legion member for 10 years, I am a member of the Rifle Squad, I attended Legion College in 2025 and Cohort XXIV of Warrior's Return. My Legion mission is to build community service projects for members of Post 1 to participate in that will help our members and other veterans.
